Big basket with handles pattern is coming soon!

Info about materials.

My dears, my pattern for a basket with handles is coming very soon. I only had a few small things left to finalize everything! I can tell you that it will be available for you on Friday! πŸ’ƒ

I'm very excited about this pattern. A basket like this was the first cord item that I designed myself. My Aunt Bridget inspired me to do this. And soon after I gave her the first basket I made for her, she asked for another one, but in a different color. Giving my loved ones my works makes me happy! πŸ’

If you want to get ready for it now, look for the cord in the right color, etc. Look at the information below.

Pattern will be available on Etsy, in two versions: beginner - friendly file (with lots of photos) and file for more advanced users (fewer photos). If in doubt, you can easily jump to a longer file - the step numbering is the same. Both versions available in standard US or UK terms.

The pattern will guide you through making a basket with a diameter of 25-26 cm and a height determined by you.

The pattern also includes instructions for attaching new cord after finishing one skein and a section on blocking the finished work.

Here is what you will need:
- 5mm braided cotton cord
- Sharp scissors
- Crochet hook 9mm (or 10mm)
- Plastic needle or smaller crochet hook e.g. 5 or 6mm (use one of this to weave in the ends)

How much cord is needed? Look at the table! πŸ˜„

I often get questions about the cords I use and recommend. And since there are many more of you here since the last e-mail on this topic, I am sending this list once again 😊 :

I most often use Bilibag factory cords – they are UK based
This is the website of a UK bilibag cord seller: https://bilibagfactory.co.uk/

I also often use Bobbiny cords - they have warehouses in many countries so it can make shipping faster.
This is the website of a US bobbiny cord seller: https://bobbinycords.us/
This is the website of a UK bobbiny cord seller: https://bobbinycords.co.uk/
This is the website of a EU bobbiny cord seller https://shop.bobbiny.com/en/

They are also on Etsy.

You can also search for what is available in your area, e.g. on Amazon, by entering "braided cotton cord" or "macrame braided cord", etc. You will find these cords more often in the macramΓ© materials category.

If you want to ask me something, just reply to this email and I will be happy to answer. 😊

Have a great day!
